Using iGOZEN While Making Home Remedies
Living chemical-free can lead you on the path to creating home remedies. Through wildcrafting you can collect many of the ingredients that you need. But no matter how deeply you venture into the wild you still may come in contact with toxins that affect the curative properties of your home remedies.
The Rural Environment & Pollutants
You would think that venturing deep into the wild would make it so that even the dirt itself was clean. Perhaps you live in a rural setting and you grow your own herbs for your home remedies. However, neither of these methods of collecting for your personal medicine bag is foolproof. Unfortunately, we live in a world where pesticides and herbicides are extremely common. They can cling to wild animals, travel on the wind, or even seep into waterways. Even the most remote areas are prone to cross-contamination! Fog, rain, and wind can all play a part in carrying and contaminating normally untouched areas. This isn’t just a matter of avoiding the few feet around where the pesticides and herbicides are sprayed. The toxic chemicals can be far-reaching. In fact, these potent and dangerous chemicals can be swept into the atmosphere and carried over 100 miles! During a conference on this topic in 1998 there was already evidence that there’s a danger associated with pesticide and herbicide uses.
“U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) scientists consider pesticides to be among their more critical problems.”
These scientists went on to note issues directly related to pesticide use and the impact it was already having on the environment:
“In 1995 20,000 Swainson’s Hawks were killed from applications of the pesticide monocrotophos to fields in Argentina. Wild birds continue to be poisoned with diazinon, a common lawn and garden insecticide. Declines in English songbird species have been linked to widespread herbicide use. A massive Florida fish kill in 1994 was due to the application of the insecticide fenamiphos on a golf course… Non-fatal pesticide exposures can alter the behavior and the reproductive capacity of a population.”
Even when there isn’t a significant die-off of a species to alert the general public, there are still behavior and reproductive issues noted by researchers.
Where Does iGOZEN Come Into Play?
iGozen provides a way for individuals to keep their organic lifestyle chemical-free. Cross-contamination is a very real concern for the organic community. Through the use of iGOZEN food washes you are not only reducing your toxin intake but also preserving your local waterways. The all-natural, chemical-free food washes and daily cleaner are all safe for the environment. iGOZEN is made by using what nature provided so when it is rinsed away it’s not a threat to the environment! You can wash away contaminants on your wildcrafting items and create your home remedies worry-free!
