We look at our pets as so much more than animals residing in our presence. They are beings entrusted to our care, our family, and our best friends. Many of us even put them on par with our own children! They have an endearing quality that calls out to us to care for and protect them. For those who do not share their lives with pets, perhaps this seems odd, but for those of us who do, all these sentiments are just another adorable day in the life of caring for this precious family member. What would we not do for our pet’s well-being? Most of us would guard our precious pets as we would a child. We get the best food, make all their vet appointments, look up the best medicines, and keep their area free of debris. We want what is best for ourselves and our children, no matter what species they may be. But have we considered everything? Have we made their environment as safe as we can?

A Toxic Invasion

We protect ourselves and our loved ones from environmental toxins as much as possible. From the water we drink to the clothes we wear and everything in between, we try to consider everything. Our, however, pets are especially vulnerable to environmental toxins. The daily activities of chewing on blinds, licking floors, chewing on chair legs, noses shoved in the lawn, and/or gently cleaning themselves after lying about, can be poisonous to your pet. The Pet Poison Helpline ‘notes that such common cleaning products as dishwashing chemicals, lime-removal products, toilet cleaners, and drain cleaners poison pets every day. Your everyday household cleaners leave behind toxins that can potentially be fatal to your pet. Even cleaners that say they are safe for surface cleaning, like counter tops, leave behind chemicals that could be toxic to an animal. Some cleaners say they are natural, safe for humans, and may even say not tested on animals. These may be safe for you but still be harmful to your pet. You need something safe not only for you but your loved one. You need an organic cleaner that has a label clearly stating it’s non-toxic to your pet. (We, of course, recommend iGOZEN’s all natural Everyday Cleaner. It is 100% non-toxic and completely kid and pet friendly.)

The Start to a Toxic-Free Home

The first step to a toxic-free, pet-friendly home is to read all your labels. Ask yourself:

  • Does it have a long list of hard to pronounce ingredients?
  • Are ammonia, chlorine, propylene glycol, or harsh fragrances listed? Look for what the recommended safety precautions are.
  • Do you have to wear gloves? Remember, if you can’t touch it or safely smell it your pet can’t, either!
  • Does it say use only in a well-ventilated area? If it’s not labeled clearly then it is better to be safe than sorry; get rid of it and look for organic, pet-friendly, chemical-free, and toxin-free cleaner for your home.

Make your home a haven not only for you but also for your feathered, gilled, scaled, or furry family member. iGOZEN Everyday Cleaner is a simple, thorough cleaner that leaves your home safe for floor licking, chair chewing, blind shredding, and even a lazy afternoon self-cleaning. All the iGOZEN products are 100% natural, non-toxic, and safe for kids and pets.
